What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that is downloaded to your browser to maintain a secure, private and unique sign-in session for a web site.

Why do I need to have cookies enabled?
Espresso Home access uses a browser cookie to store your user details so that once you have authenticated with the Espresso Home Access System, you are free to navigate the Espresso site without having to re-authenticate for each new page.

Cookies are required for all our Home users whether you are using our Espresso Home Access System or accessing Espresso At Home through your LA portal / Learning platform.

How do I enable cookies?

Internet Explorer users

1. Open Internet Explorer and select Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click on the Privacy tab and select Sites.

3. In theAddress of website field enter the following:

  • www.espresso.co.uk (click allow)
  • www.espressohome.co.uk (click allow)

4. click ok and ok again to close the window. You may need to close and reopen your browser for this to take effect.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open Firefox and select Tools > Options from the menu bar.
2. Select the Privacy tab and then Exceptions.

3. In the Address of website field enter the following:

  • www.espresso.co.uk (click allow)
  • www.espressohome.co.uk (click allow)

4. click ok and ok again to close the window. You may need to close and reopen your browser for this to take effect.

Safari (MAC only)

1. Open Safari and select Preferences. 2. Click the Security icon.

3. In the Accept Cookies: selection box, chose Always or Only from sites you navigate to. 4. close the preferences window. You may need to close and reopen your browser for this to take effect.
