Symptoms:

Solution:

1. Uninstall QuickTime, If not needed.

• In control panel, select Add/remove programs Find Quicktime and click Remove.

2. Make sure the avi, mpeg and wav extensions are ticked.

• Open Windows Media Player, in the menu bar select Tools > Options and select the File Types tab.
• If 'Windows audio file (wav)' is already ticked > untick it and select Apply. Tick it and select Apply.
• If 'Windows audio file (wav)' is not already ticked > tick it and select Apply > Select OK > Close Windows Media Player.
• Do the same with avi and mpeg.
