Editorial Director of Espresso joins a panel at a MirandaNet, Demos, Oracle, NAACE and Compaq Seminar at The Millennium Dome
Teachers have been ignored for too long in the lifelong learning debate. The development of new technologies now offers a real opportunity for education to become a leading sector in the support of its professionals, and an example of the continuous learning processes and change so essential in a knowledge-based economy. The seminar will bring together the perspectives of practice, business, research and policy to discuss these issues with an expert audience, in order to develop a holistic picture of the future of the teaching profession.
As a result of this final seminar in the series of three, a paper will be presented to ministers at the DfEE offering informed solutions to the challenges of ICT continuing professional development for the managers of change in education.
