Self-contained study programmes support core and foundation subjects for KS2.

Espresso Learning Paths have been designed to provide self-contained programmes with structured activities. The paths were written for children in years 5 and 6 to match a range of different learning intentions and experiences and cover core and foundation subjects. Each learning path is organised into five sections. They open with a summary of what will be learnt, introduce a starter activity, provide a main activity, set up a review of learning and offer extension activities. The resources needed to respond at each stage are embedded within the learning path and include video, audio and interactive activities. The design means that the resources can be shared in the classroom and/or used independently by children at home.
