In PSHE this monthThe Treatment and Care of Animals resource bankcontains a bank of resources that cover issues related to the care and welfare of animals and the legislation that surrounds this.
There is a new video in this resource bank:
A role play is provided for students to look at the role of an RSPCA inspector. Further resources include worksheets and an interactive quiz about pet care in general.
The online Homework site complements issues covered in the school site, with additional worksheets and further website links. It includes some additional learning activities and links to websites on related themes.

In French this month The resource bank: Le village planétaire, provides a rich bank of materials to support the development of language skills for pupils at the start of Year 8. It can also provide a useful revision resource for older pupils, as the new term begins. The content is closely linked to QCA Unit 7 – Les autres pays in which pupils learn about other countries, including some of those in which French is spoken. The focus for this update is upon: European countries, some world cities, geographical locations, the seasons and weather. This update is aimed particularly at those students needing extra support and consolidation in their language work.
